Spiritual Formation
The process of growth and development by the Holy Spirit which molds us more into the likeness of Jesus.
This process involves the inward growth (self), the outward growth (toward others), and the upward growth (toward God).

Spiritual Direction
The relationship between one seeking a more Christ-like life and another who serves as a guide in the formation process.
Dr. R. Neal Siler, (Caring For the Soul, 2010) says, there are three mutually interwoven processes:
1. Orthodoxy- Involves right thinking about Christ and faith.
2. Orthoproxy- Involves right actions and practices in how we live out the gospel.
3. Othopathy- Involves right feelings toward God, self, others and community.
